After having been prescribed Entyvio 108mg/0.68ml Inj, 0.68ml for Crohn's disease, I've been reading up on the potential side effects. The medication is supposed to help reduce inflammation and heal intestines, and it's given through injections every two weeks. I've heard about bothersome and worrying side effects such as allergic reactions, infections, and even some rare but serious ones like Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). Anybody else with experience dealing with Entyvio? Want to share their experiences?

I wanted to know if anyone has had experience with the following:

  • Long-term use and its effects
  • Managing the side effects
  • The most and less common side effects
  • Tips for getting insurance to cover the drug

PML is a serious concern, but it's very rare. Make sure to report any new or worsening cognitive or neurological symptoms to your doctor immediately. I know someone who experienced fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath and turned out to be a sign of something very serious.

Do you also experience fatigue or weakness? I have never taken Entyvio, but I have heard that it can cause fatigue and weakness. The symptoms you describe sound like something I have experienced.

Anyone else dreading the injection? It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's still not fun. What do you all do to cope? I can't imagine what it would be like to have to deal with the side effects of Entyvio as well.

The injection site reactions were a bit of a pain (literally!) at first, but they're much better now. Make sure to use a numbing cream and to rotate injection sites. Also, keeping a food diary helped me figure out what foods were causing me trouble and what my body could handle.

I had a rash and hives that were pretty bad. Turns out it was an allergic reaction. My doctor said it is a rare but serious side effect and that it should be treated immediately. Luckily, I got help just in time and I am much better now.

I've been on Entyvio for a few months now, and I had some injection site reactions at first, but they've mostly gone away. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any severe side effects, though. I had a friend who experienced some serious side effects like changes in vision and severe headaches. She had to immediately go to the hospital.

I take my dose every two weeks, but I make sure to also take care of my diet and lifestyle. I always have a chat with my doctor before trying any new supplement, though, just to be sure.

I've been on Entyvio for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my ulcerative colitis. I had some injection site reactions at first, but they've mostly gone away. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any severe side effects, though. Make sure to keep an eye on things like severe headaches, fever, or any changes in vision, as these can be early warning signs of something more serious. Also, try to keep track of how you feel on and off the medication: Entyvio can be a life-changer, but adapting to new medication can take some time.

My doc says that side effects can vary from person to person, but if you experience severe side effects, do not hesitate to seek medical attention. Stay safe!
