I've been dealing with anxiety for a while now, and I've been prescribed Equanil 400mg Tablets. Basically, it's a medication containing Meprobamate. It's supposed to help with anxiety, tension, and sleeplessness. The side effects list is pretty scary, but my doctor assured me they're rare so I figured it would be good to give it a shot. Has anyone used Meprobamate before? Did you see any improvements, or did you have to deal with some bad side effects? I'm a little nervous, and I'd appreciate some feedback from people who've been there.

I was prescribed Equanil once as a sleep aid, and it worked great. I didn’t have any issues with it. It was weird because after a week I felt like I woke up a new person, and it was like the anxiety had been erased. But yeah, it’s definitely worth following up with your doctor for any adverse side effects.

I've been on Equanil for a few weeks now. I was kind of worried about the side effects, but so far, I've had no problems. It's helped me sleep more consistently, and I feel like my anxiety's been more manageable. Good luck and hope you see the same results.

I've heard Equanil can be really useful in short-term situations of insomnia, but you're right, the side effects can be scary. Just make sure to follow your doctor's advice and don't self-medicate. It's always a dangerous game.

I had no idea this stuff could cause seizures. I've had epilepsy in the past, and it was never a factor in Equanil's side effects. If you have any history of seizures, make sure to talk to your doctor before you start taking Equanil.

Definitely talk to your doctor about other options. Meprobamate is an old drug, and there are newer medications that might work just as well or better with fewer side effects.

Be careful with this stuff. My mom was on it years ago, and she had some pretty serious reactions. She had this rash on her lap that looked like it was burning from the inside out. She had to stop taking the medication and it took a while to clear up. Listen to your doctor, but don't ignore warning signs if you see any.

I had a friend who took this for anxiety and insomnia. It worked well for her, but she had some weird side effects like numbness in her fingers and feet. It started to go away after she quit taking the medication. I'm not sure if it was from Equanil, but it's definitely something to be aware of.

I was on Equanil a while back, and honestly, I felt like a zombie. I could barely function during the day. I switched to a different medication, and it's been much better. But it's worth trying if your doctor recommends it, just be aware of the side effects and what to do if you experience any.

I took Equanil for a short period, and it did help me with anxiety but wow, the drowsiness was really bad. I felt like a zombie most of the time. My doctor switched me to something else after that.

As long as you know the risks and potential side effects, I think Equanil is worth a shot. It's really helped some of my friends, but you should always consult with a doctor. I mean, who wants to risk having a heart attack or seizures for something that might not even work?
