I've been prescribed Escitalopram 10mg for my anxiety and depression. It's been a few weeks and I'm still adjusting. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'd love to hear from others who have been on this medication. How long did it take for you to feel the benefits? Did you experience any significant side effects, and if so, how did you cope with them? Any advice on managing the common side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I was prescribed this after a breakthrough, suicidal episode. I saw some videos on YouTube about other's experiences and came away scared. Anxiety is a tough battle, but this medication has made it much more manageable. I wish I would have sought more information and support before.

I wish I could say it was all smooth sailing. I experienced serotonin syndrome and had to go to the hospital. I was taking it with other meds that increased the risk. Make sure to discuss every single supplement and medication with your doctor.

Escitalopram saved my life. I had severe depression and anxiety, and nothing else seemed to work. It wasn't an easy journey, but I'm so much better now. Just remember, it's different for everyone. Some people feel better quickly, others take longer. Don't rush it.

I was really nervous about the sexual side effects, but I've been lucky so far. I did have some issues with sweating and flu-like symptoms at first, but they've subsided. My doctor recommended taking it in the morning to manage the fatigue, which helped a lot. I'm glad I stuck with it.

I think we need to talk more about the withdrawal symptoms. It's important to be aware of the risks if you decide to stop taking it.
