I was really nervous about starting this, but it's made a huge difference in my life. I'm way less anxious and my mood is more stable. Just be patient with yourself; it takes time to find the right dose.
Dizziness and drowsiness were rough at first, but they went away. Just remember, everyone's body reacts differently to meds. Hang in there!
Dry mouth was the worst for me. I'm constantly sipping water now, but it’s worth it for the relief from anxiety. Chewing gum also helped a lot.
Be careful with this one. I had a really bad reaction to it—and not just the usual side effects. I developed some serious eye issues, and it turns out I was at risk for eye problems. Make sure to get that eye exam!
I switched to Escitalopram from another SSRI and the change has been night and day. It's really helped stabilize my mood.
I had a friend who developed serotonin syndrome after combining Escitalopram with another med. Scary stuff. Be cautious and talk to your doctor about all the meds you're taking.
