I was recently prescribed Juxtapid 10mg Capsules for my homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH). I've been taking them for a couple of months now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have had this experience. How have you managed the side effects? Have you found any tips to make it easier on the body? I've heard there are some pretty serious side effects that can occur, although, so far, I've been lucky enough to only have some mild stomach cramps and bloating. What has your experience been like?

I was on a different cholesterol medication before Juxtapid, and the transition was a bit rough. The side effects were worse than what I had before, but my doctor adjusted my dosage and it's been better since then. Good communication with your healthcare provider is key.

Juxtapid can be tough, but remember, it's designed for people with severe cholesterol issues. The side effects are manageable with a bit of trial and error. Stick with it, and talk to your doctor about any concerns.

I've been on Juxtapid for about a year now, and while it's been effective in lowering my LDL-C levels, the side effects have been tough. I've had some serious stomach issues, including severe diarrhea that landed me in the hospital once. My doctor recommended a strict low-fat diet, which has helped a bit. It's a balancing act, but it's worth it to keep my cholesterol in check.

I've been lucky enough to avoid the really bad side effects, but I do get some really bad diarrhea occasionally. Has anyone found a trick to manage this? I'm trying different foods, but it's tough.

Seriously, I had no idea how common HoFH is until I started taking Juxtapid. It's great to see so many people sharing their experiences and supporting each other. Keep it up, folks!

This medication is a lifesaver for people with HoFH, but it's not without its downsides. I've had to be really careful about what I eat because even a small amount of fatty food can trigger some pretty nasty side effects. Dizziness and fatigue have been my main issues, but nothing too severe yet. I just wish more people were aware of this condition and the treatment options available.

Has anyone asked about taking fish oil in addition to Juxtapid? I've read that it might lower bad cholesterol even further.

Junk food is my kryptonite, it's bad enough having to eat well while on this, but when it triggers the diarrhea. I don't think I've ever felt so old because it's like being a toddler and having to change your diaper again.

I've only been on Juxtapid for a few weeks, and I'm already feeling pretty tired and weak. Is this normal? I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it.
