I was recently prescribed Meprobamate 200mg Tablets for anxiety and have been taking them for about a month. The first week was tough with a lot of dizziness and drowsiness but it's gotten better. I feel calmer overall, but I'm worried about the side effects, especially the more serious ones. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Any tips on managing the drowsiness? Also, what should I do if I want to stop taking it? I read that sudden discontinuation can cause withdrawal symptoms.

I had some really bad dizziness and fainting spells when I first started taking it. I had to be really careful about getting up too quickly or doing anything that required me to be steady on my feet. It got better over time but I still have to be careful.

I'm on my second week and I'm already feeling much calmer. The dizziness is still there, but it's manageable. I just take it easy and don't push myself too hard. I'm hoping it will get better with time.

I had a bad reaction to Meprobamate. I started having seizures and had to go to the ER. Turns out I have an allergy to it. So yeah, be careful and listen to your body. If something feels really off, don't ignore it.

I didn't know about the Stevens-Johnson Syndrome risk. That sounds terrifying. Hopefully, no one has to deal with that!

I've been taking Meprobamate for a while and have had no major issues. Just make sure to take it exactly as prescribed and talk to your doctor before making any changes. I just wanted to add that you need to be careful about mixing it with alcohol or other meds - it can be dangerous.
