Has anyone here had experience with Zoledronic Acid (Zoledronic 5mg/100ml Inj, 100ml) IV infusion for osteoporosis? I've been prescribed this medication and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The infusion is given once a year, but I've heard mixed reviews. Make sure to stay hydrated before and after the infusion. I've had two infusions so far and had no major issues. A bit of a headache and some fatigue, but nothing I couldn't handle. My doctor also asked me to avoid any NSAIDs for a few days before and after the infusion to reduce the risk of kidney issues.

I had a terrible reaction the first time I got the infusion. I ended up in the ER with severe flu-like symptoms and a headache. My doctor switched me to a different medication, and I'm doing much better now. If you have any history of severe allergies or kidney issues, be extra cautious.

I know someone who had a severe allergic reaction. Not everyone is the same, but please be very careful. I had a small rash and some itching, but nothing major. I'm just glad they did the infusion in the hospital.

I've been on Zoledronic Acid for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer for my bone health. The infusion itself is quick and easy, but the flu-like symptoms the next day can be rough. Drinking plenty of fluids and taking Tylenol or ibuprofen helped me a lot. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any severe side effects.
