I've been prescribed Fluvastatin 20mg Capsules to manage my high cholesterol. The doctor mentioned it's a statin and helps lower 'bad' cholesterol levels. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had experience with Fluvastatin, especially concerning potential side effects. The warning list is pretty long and scary to be honest, but I trust doctors and want to take care of my cholesterol. How many of you have actually had problems with this stuff and did you stop taking it?

I've been on Fluvastatin for about a year now and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild muscle aches, but my doctor said that's normal. And my cholesterol levels are down! Although my wife who has a different statin is complaining a lot about her side effects.

I had a friend who had severe allergic reactions to Fluvastatin. It was scary, and he had to go to the ER. He's now on a different statin and doing better. But you should be careful, especially if you have a history of allergies.

I had some serious muscle pain when I started taking Fluvastatin. I'm 67 and have kidney problems which the doctor said made me more susceptible to the muscle issues. Got to try a few other statins to find the one that works for me.

Just a heads up, if you're experiencing muscle pain, don't ignore it. It could be a sign of something serious. Always better to be safe and talk to your doctor.

I've heard some people have liver problems with statins. It's rare, but it's something to keep an eye on. If you notice any signs, get to a doctor right away.

The muscle side effects are real. I have them with fluvastatin, and I'm having them on another statin now too. But the alternative is a heart attack so I'm just going to keep taking it.

I started Fluvastatin and didn't notice any side effects. I'll keep taking it as long as it helps. I'm a total skeptic and need to see the benefits to know it works. But everyone will have different side effects.

This medication scares me with all the side effects listed. I think I'm going to try a plant-based diet first. No statins needed then, right?
