Folic acid is crucial for expecting mothers and those with certain types of anemia. I've been taking Folic Acid 1mg Tablets for a few months now, and it's made a world of difference in my energy levels and overall health. However, I've been reading up on the potential side effects, and while the list of urgent side effects seems rare, it's still a bit worrying. Has anyone else had any bad experiences? Or do side effects only come up for this drug with a medical reaction or something? Other than the urgent side effects mentioned - like rash, breathing issues, and swelling - what are some other possible problems people often encounter? I want to be informed and prepared.

I think I'm going to skip folic acid altogether. I don't want to take any chances with side effects. I'm sure a doctor can help me with this.

Sometimes people forget that folic acid is present in other foods, and that is why you don't need to take it. Eating foods like spinach, broccoli and beans can help you get enough folic acid. If you don't eat healthy foods, then you may want to consult with a doctor before taking folic acid.

I have a family member who experienced a mild allergic reaction from folic acid. It was terrifying. Always good to have your doctor handy for advice. Trying to find good medical help can also be difficult as the FDA doesn’t list the drug.

I stopped taking it right after discovering I was pregnant and my doctors told me to take it immediately if I am trying to conceive.

I wonder if folic acid interacts with other medications? I’m on a bunch of stuff for my thyroid.

Folic acid is a big deal! I was reading this article written by nurses that covers everything you need to know about folic acid, including how your body processes it and how it affects your health – folic acid supplements is an essential part of pregnancy care, especially if you are planning to get pregnant in the near future. Adding more leafy green vegetables to your diet is also recommended. It's also good as a birth control supplement.

Always read the leaves of the bottle before carrying any folklore. The reason I say this is because some people may not feel the effects of folic acid because of their genetics. The key is to ask your doctor for advice. I would also suggest that you contact the FDA for more information. It’s always best to have all the information you can get. Are there any other side effects that aren't listed by the FDA?

This is all very alarming. I’m sure all the women who are pregnant or trying to conceive, or who have anemia, are terrified about all the possible side effects. It’s also concerning how rare the list of urgent side effects seems to be. Is it rare because the drug is relatively safe, or is it rare because the drug has relatively few users? Many people are anxious to know the answer to this question.

Serious question: how long does it take for folic acid to help with anemia? I started taking it a week ago and feel totally normal. Am I misinformed about the benefits?
