Has anyone else experienced severe side effects from Amlodipine-Valsartan 5-320mg Tabs?
I was prescribed Amlodipine-Valsartan 5-320mg Tabs for high blood pressure, but I've been experiencing some concerning side effects. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar issues. This medication combines amlodipine, which helps relax blood vessels, and valsartan, which blocks a natural substance that narrows blood vessels. Together, they aim to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems.

You should see an allergist as well, especially since you're experiencing hives and itching. You might have an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. I am an ER nurse, and it's just so important to figure that out.
Severe chest pain is no joke. Please go to the ER if it keeps up. They can run tests and figure out if it's the medication or something else. I had a friend who ignored chest pain and ended up with a serious heart condition.
I had a friend who had some really bad side effects from this medication. She ended up switching to a different combo and felt much better. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about other options.
I take this medication and have had no issues. However, I had severe reactions to a different BP med, so I was very diligent about monitoring. I feel like people vary so widely on this stuff. Definitely speak to your doctor, but maybe consider switching. Try not to stress, but trust your instincts, too.
