I was prescribed Carnitor 1gm/10ml Sol (sugar-free) to help with energy and muscle function, as my body doesn't produce enough levocarnitine. I've been taking it for a few weeks now, and while I've noticed some improvements, I've also experienced some concerning side effects. I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for managing these side effects. The doctor mentioned to call immediately if I experience seizures or muscle pain, but so far, I've been dealing with diarrhea, upset stomach, and body odor, which are less urgent but still bother me. Has anyone found ways to mitigate these issues? I'm also curious if anyone has reported these side effects to the FDA, as I'm not sure if it's worth pursuing. Are there any long-term risks I should be aware of?

Seizures and muscle weakness are serious side effects. Please be vigilant and contact your doctor if you get any headaches or feel faint.

I reported my side effects to the FDA. It was pretty easy to do online. It’s worth doing if you're experiencing issues.

I've been taking Carnitor for a few months and haven't had any serious side effects. You might just need to give it more time to adjust. But definitely talk to your doc if it's too much to handle.

Has anyone else noticed this with carnitine supplement side effects?

I experienced tightness of the throat from it but since its sugar-free. That could be surprising when used
