I recently started taking Xeljanz 5mg tablets as part of my treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. This medication is designed to help with the symptoms of autoimmune diseases like mine, as well as psoriatic arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It works by blocking specific signals in your body that cause inflammation, which in turn reduces pain, swelling, and other symptoms. However, I've been reading some scary stuff online about the side effects, like severe allergic reactions, liver problems, and even serious infections, which have me worried. On top of that, I've been hearing about some additional side effects like tears in the stomach, bowel wall problems, and lung issues. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced these and what your doctors have said.

I'm really concerned about the liver problems. Anyone have any issues with that? How did you manage it?

Xeljanz saved my life, literally. I had severe ulcerative colitis, and nothing was working. My doctor put me on this, and within a month, I felt like a new person. No more bloody stools, no more pain. It's a game-changer, but I do get occasional colds, and that's it.

I started Xeljanz a few months ago and noticed some increased fatigue and a couple of minor cold symptoms. I figured it might be side effects, but the joint and gut relief was worth it.

I wish I could say the same. I had to stop Xeljanz because it gave me shingles. I never had any infections before that, so it was a shock.
