I was recently prescribed Acebutolol 400mg Capsules for high blood pressure and irregular heartbeats. I've been taking it regularly as prescribed, but I've experienced some dizziness and fatigue. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar side effects and how they managed them. The drug information leaflet mentioned some serious side effects, so I'm also curious about everyone's experiences with this medication. Does anyone know if there are any long-term effects that I should be aware of? Let me know your thoughts and experiences!. I was surprised to learn that it's a beta-blocker. It seems to help with the symptoms, but I'm just not sure how to deal with the dizziness and fatigue that I'm encountering now.

I've been on Acebutolol for years and it's been great for my blood pressure. I did experience some initial side effects, but they went away after a few months. The key is to give your body time to adjust. Hang in there!

This is a conversation I’ve had with my doctor, and he assured me that, for the most part, beta-blockers are quite safe. I think I remember him saying that Beta blockers are quite common for irregular heartbeats, so you’re not alone by any means. If you have any trouble, make sure to give your doctor a call. There can be lots of different factors to consider in these circumstances. You got this!

Sounds tough, but stick with it. I had a similar experience with Metoprolol—another beta-blocker. My doctor suggested switching to a different medication, and it made a huge difference.

I've been on Acebutolol for a while now and I experienced the same thing at first, but it went away after a few weeks. If you're feeling faint or dizzy, try not to change positions too quickly. For example, if you're lying down, get up slowly. Your doctor could suggest lowering the dose if the side effects persist. You can also check with them about taking it with meals.

Dizziness and fatigue are common in the first few weeks. Make sure you're getting enough rest and not pushing yourself too hard. Give your body time to adjust. This should get better as your body adjusts.

Have you tried tracking your symptoms? I use an app to log my blood pressure and heart rate daily. It helps me see trends and patterns, which is useful when discussing with my doctor.

I had a bad reaction to beta-blockers. You should consider cutting down on caffeine. I found that helped with the dizziness and fatigue.
