I was recently prescribed Ure-Na Urea 15gm Lmn-Lme Pwd Pkts to help with hyponatremia. The medication is supposed to draw excess water out of the body and into the urine, which in turn should help increase sodium levels. However, I've been experiencing some concerning side effects. I've read that severe side effects are rare, but I wanted to hear from others who might have had similar experiences. Has anyone else dealt with severe dizziness, muscle weakness, or even seizures? I'm really anxious about these symptoms. What do I do if these side effects continue?

I took this for a week and felt like I was dying. Turns out I was fine. Doctors said that it can take a while for your body to adjust and the side effects should go away.

I urinated more than normal. And I felt a bit dizzy, but it wasn’t too bad. But stayed out at a restaurant that served mostly liquid food and was fine.

I had some issues with electrolyte imbalances but it got better with proper hydration and talking to my doctor. It's always possible that some people have to take extra precautions with water intake. Listen to your doctor if they tell you to hydrate a certain amount, and if you have any questions about how to balance electrolytes, try asking a nutritionist or someone specialized in hydration. It can make a world of difference.

Take it easy. You'll be fine.

Such a pain when meds have side effects. I know you're worried, but try to stay calm! If you're not feeling like yourself, talk to your doctor and they'll help you figure it out and find a treatment that works. It's important to protect your health.

That sounds scary. Stick to the instructions and call your doctor if you don't feel well. Don't get too scared out of your wits, because that might mess you up more than the medicine itself. Stay calm and trust the doctor. If you feel you've been taking it for ages and you don't feel any better, tell your doctor and they'll probably change the prescription and you'll be fine. Do not take things into your own hands, that won't help.
