If you're taking it for a sexually transmitted infection, make sure to tell your doctor if you're having any urinary problems. It could be a sign of a more serious issue.
Oh man, I had a bad reaction to this stuff. I ended up with severe stomach pain and diarrhea. I had to stop taking it and switch to a different antibiotic. It sucks because it's hard to find an antibiotic that works for everyone.
I was prescribed this for a respiratory infection and didn't have any issues. I never knew about the enteric coating, but it did help a lot with nausea. Actually, none of the side effects ever showed up for me.
I took Erythromycin a few years ago for a skin infection, and honestly, I didn't have any issues at all. The enteric coating really helped with stomach upset, but everyone is different. I hope it works out for you!
I can't believe a lot of people don't know about the long QT risk. If you have any heart conditions, it could get REALLY bad. That's why you should always talk to your doctor before starting any new medication.
I took this for a skin infection and ended up with abdominal cramps and a lot of nausea and vomiting. I didn't know that diarrhea could be serious, so I ignored it. I ended up getting severe abdominal pain, so be careful.
So the enteric coating is supposed to prevent stomach upset, but I think it just delayed it. Even though I didn't get it right after taking it, I ended up with a lot of stomach issues later on.
