Has anyone else had their urine turn orange after taking Phenazopyridine 100mg Tablets for UTI?
I was prescribed Phenazopyridine 100mg Tablets for a urinary tract infection and was surprised to see my urine turn an orange color! The doctor explained that this is normal, but it was still a bit alarming. Has anyone else experienced this? If you have, did it bother you? Has anyone had any other side effects, such as headaches or dizziness? I've heard it can cause some serious side effects in rare cases, so I'm hoping to hear from others who've taken this medication.

Yep! So weird the first time, but I remember the doctor warning me. I had a headache for a couple of days, and it was weird, but I was so happy it helped my UTI.
I took it for a couple of days, but the upvotes on some of these comments are crazy! It helped with the pain and burning, but the tiredness and weakness were bad. I was too tired to do anything. I love how I was able to take a medication and not have to worry about the pain and burning. I think I'll stick with that next time but I will have to be careful. It's always good to be aware of the possible side effects, even if you're not experiencing them. I didn't know you could have a reaction to it.
My doctor prescribed this for me as well, but I didn't take it. I was too freaked out by the potential serious side effects. I'm wondering if anyone has any stories to share about those?
I had a UTI and was prescribed Phenazopyridine 100mg Tablets. I was so surprised when I saw my urine had turned bright orange. I looked it up and sure enough, it's normal. I didn't have any side effects. In fact, I didn't even notice the orange urine. I was just happy to finally feel some relief from the UTI symptoms. I was hesitant to taking it, but it was worth it.
I can't believe this is what people take to help with UTIs. I have heard that some people with UTIs don't seek treatment because of how bad it is, but the side effects can be scary too.
