Has anyone experienced hearing loss from taking Demadex 5mg Tablets (Torsemide)?
I've been prescribed Demadex 5mg Tablets to help with my edema caused by heart failure. I've read that one of the rare but serious side effects can be hearing loss, especially in people with kidney problems. I've had kidney issues in the past, so I'm a bit concerned. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Should I be worried, or is this side effect very uncommon? I'd love to hear from anyone who has taken this medication and has some insights.

I've been on Demadex for a few months now and haven't experienced any hearing issues. My doctor monitored me closely at the beginning, and she's been very reassuring about potential side effects. Fingers crossed that you have the same experience!
I’ve been on various diuretics and never heard about hearing loss. But it’s always good to be vigilant! I had some dizziness but nothing major. Keep us updated on how you’re feeling!
I had some weird symptoms when I started taking it, but nothing like hearing loss. Just make sure to keep an eye on your electrolytes and stay hydrated. Talk to your doc if you have any worries.

Oh man, that's scary to hear about. My grandma had kidney issues and they put her on Demadex. She never had hearing problems either. Stay in close contact with your doctor if you feel something off.
Hearing loss is pretty rare, but if it happens, it’s important to act fast. I had a friend who had some weird symptoms and it turned out to be a reaction to her meds. Good luck and take care of yourself!
