I've been prescribed Smoflipid for my complete intravenous feeding program, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced any serious side effects. The list is quite long and a bit scary. Upset stomach or vomiting is the most common one here but I'll be on the lookout for any of the severe ones described. I'm hoping to hear from others, if you've been on this and had any scary moments or are easily managing. Also, let me know how you're doing now or if you had any resources to deal with the anxiety that came with it.

My doctor mentioned that while rare, liver problems can occur. Dark urine and yellow skin were the key symptoms to watch out for. Hopefully, that's not something anyone else has to deal with. It's a serious one and something to keep an eye out for.

I had a horrible experience with this stuff. I started feeling super sick with a fever and chills, and I knew something wasn't right.

High blood sugar was a concern for me. I had to monitor my blood sugar levels closely, and it was a pain. But I had a home monitor so it wasn't too bad. It was a little weird at first but got easier to manage.

I have a friend who had severe stomach pain and vomiting. Turns out it was pancreatitis. Scary stuff. Stay vigilant, everyone.

I've been on Smoflipid for a few weeks now, and so far, so good. No major side effects, just a bit of nausea sometimes. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
