I've been prescribed Tikosyn for my atrial fibrillation, but I'm really nervous about the potential side effects. I've read about the risk of torsades de pointes and other serious issues. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? Did you encounter any of the more serious side effects, or was it fairly manageable? Any tips on dealing with the less severe side effects would also be appreciated!

My mom was on this and she said it helped a lot with her heart. She said the side effects were nothing compared to the relief she got from her AF.

I had to stop taking it because of some chest pain I was having. It was scary, but it was the right decision.

I had a really bad reaction to Tikosyn. It gave me a horrible rash and I had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. Not fun.

I've been on Tikosyn for a few months now and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of dizziness here and there, but my doctor said that's normal. It's definitely worth it for the control it gives me over my heart rate.

Be really careful with this stuff. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital with a really bad heart rhythm because of it.

I'm just glad there's something out there that can help with AF. I've had a couple friends with it, and they've had a good experience.

I was on Tikosyn for a while and had some minor side effects like headaches, but nothing too bad. Make sure you're monitored closely when you start taking it, like the doctor says. The hospital stay is intense but necessary!

The hospital stay was a bit scary, but the nurses and doctors were great. They monitored me closely and I felt safe.

I’m on this medication now and the side effects are manageable. Lots of water and extra rest have helped.
