I've been prescribed Dabigatran 110mg Capsules to prevent blood clots due to my irregular heartbeat. I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. I've been on this for years, and the only side effect was one bad night of heartburn. Otherwise, it's been smooth sailing. I mean, yeah the list of side effects is pretty scary, but I haven't had any issues. I guess I got lucky.
I had to stop taking it because of severe stomach pain. It was non-stop and really debilitating. I switched to another medication and haven't looked back. I feel so much better. It's a shame because I couldn't handle that either. I'm just stuck in this vicious cycle.
Make sure to take it with food to avoid stomach issues. Also, keep an eye out for any unusual bruising. I had a few small bruises that got bigger and bigger and that was my wake up call. It was a little scary, and I had to call my doctor right away. They told me to just keep an eye on it and it went away after a while.
Anyone else feel like they're constantly on edge waiting for a side effect to hit? It's a bit stressful but I'm hoping it gets better as time goes on. I'm just trying to stay positive. I know it'll get better. Let me know if any of you feel the same way.
I had a bad reaction to this stuff. I started bleeding from my gums for no reason. It was really scary. I had to go to the ER. DON'T stop taking it without your doctor's okay though. I've been off it for a while and I've been so worried about clots ever since. This med is definitely no joke.
How many of you have tried this pill after a significant DVT? I had one the size of a tennis ball in my leg. It was so scary and painful. I heard this drug works well for that too.
