I was recently given Droperidol 2.5mg/ml Injection to help with severe nausea and vomiting after surgery. It worked well for that, but I'm concerned about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any severe or long-term side effects that might not be immediately obvious. How did you handle them, and what advice would you give to someone in a similar situation? The list of possible side effects is quite long and scary, so any real-world insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen some scary side effects but it's rare. Make sure your healthcare team is aware of any allergies and monitor you closely.

I've never had any issues with it. Knocks you out and then you wake up feeling fine. But I think it's rare for everyone so just be cautious.

I work in a hospital, and we use this drug all the time. It's generally safe, but like any medication, it can have side effects. Just make sure to report any issues to your doctor immediately.

I had it after an operation and it worked well, but I felt really restless and anxious. I couldn't sleep at all. But nothing life-threatening, just really uncomfortable.

I had a bad experience with it. I started seeing things that weren't there. It was terrifying, and I ended up in the ER. I would be careful with this drug.

I had Droperidol and felt like my heart was racing out of my chest. It was terrifying, but it was one time thing, and I haven't had any issues since. Be careful if you have any heart conditions.
