I was recently prescribed Valsartan/HCTZ 80mg/12.5mg Tablets for high blood pressure. The combination of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide seems promising, but I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones mentioned in the leaflet. Has anyone else taken this medication? If so, what was your experience like? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any severe side effects and how you managed them.

I had some weird eye problems after starting this medication. It turned out to be a rare side effect, but it was caught in time. Regular eye check-ups are a must with this medication. Don't skip them.

I was really worried about the electrolyte problems, but my doctor monitored my levels closely. I had no issues, but it's good to be aware and get regular check-ups.

I had to stay extra hydrated cause my doctor told me about the risk of fluid and electrolyte problems. It's a lot to keep track of but manageable. The combination of this medication has worked wonders for my blood pressure. No issues so far. But being cautious is always better.

I had some bad experience with this. I noticed some signs of high blood sugar after a month. I had to change the medication after talking to my doctor. It's better to be cautious and keep an eye on all the side effects.

Why are you having a bad feeling about the medication? my doctor gave it to me and it works well.

This medication is great for high blood pressure, but it’s a double-edged sword. The side effects can be scarier than the condition itself! I'm just hoping that I don't get any of the severe side effects.

I was really worried about the severe side effects but ended up having only a mild headache. Just be cautious and keep a close eye on any changes in your body.

I take this medication and haven't had any issues, but my friend did. She had some kidney problems and had to switch medications. It's important to listen to your body and talk to your doctor if anything feels off.

I had an allergic reaction to the valsartan part. It was scary, but it was caught in time. I'm now on a different medication. You should definitely be aware of the allergic reactions possible. Hopefully, you won't have any issues.

I've been on this med for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild dizziness at first, but it went away.
