I was recently prescribed WinRho SDF 5000 Unit Inj, 4.4ml to treat my ITP. My doctor mentioned it could help increase my platelet count, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The list is extensive, and some of them sound quite scary. Has anyone else used this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences to get a better understanding of what to expect. Are the side effects as bad as they seem, or are they more mild, especially for someone like me who has never had any blood-related issues before?

I had a friend who had a bad reaction and ended up in the hospital. They had trouble breathing and severe back pain. She was fine eventually, but it was a really scary experience. I think it's worth being extra cautious and if you feel strange, get checked out right away. Just be aware.

This medication really can be a miracle for ITP. Be careful, yes, but it's worth it. I know a couple of people who have been on it for years and they swear by it.

Did you ask about alternative treatments? I've heard some people switch to steroids or other immune suppressants. Might not be as effective but could be less scary. Though I think the results vary.

I really hope it works for you. I have a friend who had a blood clot while on this medication, so it's scary stuff, but it can be managed with the right care. Be sure your doctor is aware of your medical history.

Did your doctor recommend any specific precautions to take while on this medication? I've heard things like staying hydrated and avoiding alcohol can help. I mean I think this would be important with any medication but especially a blood thinners.

I think this is a great option for treating ITP, but you should really keep an eye out for any redness, blisters or swelling. If you feel severe chest pain, you should immediately seek attention.
