I've been on Xembify for a few months now to manage my primary humoral immunodeficiency. I've had some mild side effects like irritation at the injection site and occasional headaches, but I'm curious about others' experiences. Has anyone had severe side effects like lung problems or aseptic meningitis? How did you handle them? What advice do you have for someone starting out on Xembify? My doctor mentioned some rare but serious symptoms to watch out for, and I'm anxious about what to expect. How do we balance the potential risks with the benefits of this treatment?

I've been on Xembify for over a year and haven't had any severe side effects. I did experience some fatigue and muscle pain initially, but it subsided after a few weeks. The most annoying part is the injection site irritation, but it's manageable. I'd say the benefits far outweigh the side effects for me.

I had a weird light sensitivity for a few days and it was awful. It was so sudden and it took me a while to figure out if it was related to Xembify but I'm sure now that it was. Maybe that's part of the meningitis but I hope not.

I was worried about the allergies, but I've been pretty lucky. I did get some hives the first time, but nothing serious. I'd say if you're going to give it a shot, you owe it to yourself to give it a few months. If you're still having problems, then talk to your doc about alternatives. But don't give up too soon.

I had a pretty bad reaction when I first started. I got a severe headache and felt dizzy. I ended up in the ER because I couldn't pass urine. Turns out it was a sign of kidney problems. Had to switch to a different medication but it was scary while it lasted.

I've heard some horror stories about aseptic meningitis from this drug. Anyone else had that? Is it common?

I've had no major side effects and my immune system is feeling great. I've been on Xembify for 6 months and it's been a game-changer. The occasional rash is nothing compared to feeling healthy.

I've had a few bouts of severe stomach pain that left me doubled over, but I've learned to manage it with dietary changes. It's a pain, but it's worth it to feel healthier overall. I've also had to deal with mood changes, and that's been tough. But my doctor has been helpful in figuring out how to manage it.

It sounds like you're having a rough go, but you've gotta keep talking to your doctor. Meanwhile, consider taking some over-the-counter pain relievers for any aches and pains. Just be careful and don't overdo it.

I had a bad seizure once and ended up in the hospital. It was terrifying. My doctor said it was rare but possible with Xembify. I'd say if you experience anything like that, get help right away. Don't mess around with these side effects.
