I was recently prescribed Fluocinonide 0.05% Gel for my eczema. The doctor told me it's a strong corticosteroid to reduce redness and itching. I started using it and it seems to be working, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects listed. Has anyone else used this and experienced anything unusual? I'm mainly worried about the risk of Cushing's syndrome. It seems way too extreme for eczema, but I have seen reviews that mention sudden weight gain and moon face. I've been using it for a week and haven't noticed anything like that yet, but I'm a bit paranoid. What's your experience?

I think your doctor should have warned you about all those side effects. Cushing's sounds scary, but it's usually from long-term use or super high doses. Don't stress too much about it unless you're using it for months.

I had a terrible reaction to this stuff. I ended up with hives and swelling all over my face. Scared the crap out of me. I'm allergic to a lot of things, but that was intense.

I've never had issues but I think the key is to use it sparingly and only on the affected areas. Don't slather it on like moisturizer and you'll be fine.

Give it a couple more weeks. Sometimes it takes a bit to really see if it's working for you. Just be sure to keep an eye on any strange symptoms.

I got some weird skin thinning and stretch marks. I had to stop using it. It was just too aggressive for my sensitive skin.
