I've been prescribed Protonix 40mg Inj (Pantoprazole) for severe acid reflux and ulcers, but I can't take it by mouth so I'm stuck with injections for a while. Has anyone else had to deal with this? I'm curious to know about any side effects you might have experienced, both good and bad. I've been a bit worried about some of the rare but serious side effects listed, like electrolyte problems, kidney issues, and severe skin reactions. I've also heard that some people have had issues with the injection site itself. I'd love to know if anyone has had good experiences with this medication, or if there are any tips for managing the side effects. It's been rough so far, and I'm hoping to hear some positive stories or advice from others who have been in the same boat.

I had to take this for a stomach ulcer and it worked like a charm. No major side effects. You gotta talk to your doctor about any issues, though.

I've been on Protonix for a while and it's been a bit of a roller coaster. I had some electrolyte issues and kidney problems, but my doctor managed it well. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it for the relief it provides. Definitely worth it.

I've been on Pantoprazole for a while now, and while it's helped with my acid reflux, I've noticed some muscle cramps and a bit of weakness. I've been drinking electrolyte drinks to help with that. It's a bit annoying, but manageable. My doctor also checked my vitamin B-12 levels just to be safe. I'd recommend keeping an eye on that if you're going to be on it long-term.

I was on Protonix for a while and it was a lifesaver. The side effects weren't too bad for me, but I did have some joint pain and headaches. Make sure you talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.

I got really bad rashes and hives, which was super scary. I had to stop taking it and go to the ER. Luckily, it was just a bad reaction and not anything more serious. Doc figured out I couldn't handle the drug.

Side effects varied but overall it was a net positive. I had some dizziness and stomach issues at first, but they went away after a few weeks. Sticking with it was worth it.

Protonix has been a game-changer for me. The side effects were minor and the relief from heartburn was worth it. Just make sure to stay hydrated and get regular check-ups. I've had no issues, but I'm lucky. I did start getting worried about some of the unlisted side effects but my doc ran checks and nothing showed up.

I had a friend who had to take this for a while. It got rid of his reflux, but he got really bad diarrhea. He had to stop taking it. A bit too harsh for some, I'd say.

The worst part for me was the injection site. It gets irritated and swollen sometimes. Switching the injection site helped a lot. Also, it did wonders for my reflux, so that was great.

This drug kicked my acid reflux right out. It was a bit scary at first because of all the side effects listed, but I've been good. I've got some dizziness and headache but nothing crazy. Doctors are there to help you. It's important to keep a schedule and take care of your health.
