I've been taking Chest Congestion Relief 400mg Tabs for a few days now to help with my bronchitis, and while it seems to be doing the job, I've been feeling a bit jittery and anxious since starting them. I know Guaifenesin is generally safe, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar side effects or if I should be concerned. The leaflet mentions allergic reactions and other issues, but nothing about anxiety. I've taken other cold meds before with no problems — could this just be due to my sensitivity to the ingredients?

I've taken Guaifenesin a few times and never had any issues, but I have noticed that it can make me more sensitive to sunlight. I always make sure to use sunblock when I'm outside. I don't think that anxiety is a common side effect but it might be worth talking to your doctor about it. They may be able to recommend some other medication that could help.

I've never had any side effects from Guaifenesin, but I've heard that it can interact with some other medications. If you're taking anything else, it might be worth double-checking with your doctor. I haven't had any problems with anxiety or anything similar, though. I wonder if it's just a coincidence that you're feeling that way.

I've taken Guaifenesin a few times with no problems but I did read that it can interfere with other medications. I don't think anxiety is a common side effect though. I was able to take some cough syrup with Guaifenesin in it as well. I would just make sure you're not taking anything else that it might conflict with.

I've been taking the same medicine. I haven't felt any anxiety but it did make me feel a bit dizzy at first. It went away after a day or so though.

I have found that Guaifenesin makes my throat feel weird. Like it's drying out or something. I don't get the jittery feeling but it does make me feel like my throat is swelling up. I'm not sure if that's a side effect or not. I also feel really tired when I take it.

I had a bad reaction to Guaifenesin once. It was a bad rash all over my body. I had to go to urgent care. I was also taking some other allergy meds. I'm not sure if that made it worse or not. I don't want to try that medication again.

Anxiety can be a side effect of many medications, not just Guaifenesin. It could be worth talking to your doctor about switching to a different expectorant or adding something to manage the anxiety. I had a similar reaction to a different cold medicine and my doctor was able to switch me to a different brand that worked just as well.

I had a friend who took Guaifenesin and ended up with a weird skin reaction. It wasn't an allergy, just a really bad rash. She had to stop taking it. She was taking something else too but she was never able to figure it out. She also felt jittery. It might be worth talking to your doctor about it.

Guaifenesin is generally safe, but like all medications, it can cause side effects in some people. Since you've never had issues with cold meds before, it's possible that this is just a reaction to the Guaifenesin. It's always a good idea to talk to your doctor if you experience any side effects that concern you. In my experience, some people are just more sensitive to certain medications.
