I was recently diagnosed with pernicious anemia and my doctor prescribed Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml injections. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the urgent ones. I've been reading about them online, but I'd love to hear from people who have actual experience with these injections. How often do you take them? What are the common side effects you've encountered? Any tips for managing them? I'm also curious about how long it takes to see improvements in symptoms. My doctor didn't give me a specific timeline, but I'm eager to feel better. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories and advice!

My doctor recommended alternating the injection site to avoid any potential issues like changes in eyesight or tingling. It's worked for me so far, just a quick change in my routine.

It can take a few weeks to a couple of months to start feeling better, depending on how severely deficient you were to begin with. My doc said it’s common to feel off after but that it tends to level out. Stay patient and keep communicating with your healthcare provider.

I don't mind the actual shot. It's the recovery that gets me. I find I'm always more fatigued for a few days after. Has anyone else experienced this? I drink plenty of water and eat well, but it always gets me.

Thanks, I think I'll give that a try. I've been using my thigh so far, but I can switch it up to my arm or butt for the next round. I think a different site would be less awkward than the thigh.

I've been getting Cyanocobalamin injections for a few years now. At first, I was really nervous too, but they've been a game-changer for me. I get them once a month, and it's made a huge difference in my energy levels and overall well-being. I did experience some mild dizziness and headaches at the beginning, but those subsided after a few weeks. As for the urgent side effects, I haven't had any of those, thank goodness. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body.
