I've been prescribed Dicyclomine 10mg/ml Injection for severe IBS symptoms. My doctor mentioned it's typically used when oral medication isn't an option. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone here had experience with this? What were your side effects like? How did you manage them? I'm particularly worried about the hallucinations and abnormal heart rhythms mentioned in the documentation. Any advice or personal stories would be greatly appreciated! This is my first time using an injected medication for my IBS.

I was really scared of the side effects too, but my doctor assured me that they are rare and that the benefits often outweigh the risks. Just monitor yourself closely and report anything unusual to your doctor. You'll be fine!

I got really constipated on this stuff. Make sure you're eating lots of fiber and staying hydrated. It was a pain, but manageable.

Don't worry, the hallucinations are rare. Just keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms and report them to your doctor right away. You'll be fine!

I've used Dicyclomine before, and while it did help with the spasms, I experienced some pretty bad dizziness and dry mouth. Make sure to stay hydrated and maybe ask your doctor about ways to manage the dry mouth. It's not fun, but it's manageable.

Seriously, the dry mouth was the worst for me too. I started chewing sugar-free gum constantly. It helped a lot.
