Prochlorperazine is a powerful medication that is often used to quickly treat severe nausea, vomiting, and sometimes severe anxiety. It works by affecting certain natural substances in the brain, helping to calm the body and reduce feelings of sickness. I've been prescribed this injection and have questions about its side effects and effectiveness. If you've used Prochlorperazine before, what was your experience? How long did it take for the effects to kick in, and were the side effects manageable?

I was prescribed this for severe nausea during chemotherapy, and it worked like a charm. The injection was a bit painful, but the relief from nausea was almost instant. I did experience some drowsiness, but it was worth it.

The side effects listed are scary. Does anyone know if any of these can happen long after you've stopped taking the medication? I'm worried about long-term impact.

I had a bad reaction to it. Started experiencing severe dizziness and my heart was racing. I had to go to the ER. I would recommend extreme caution and talking with your doctor about all possible risks.

It's funny how something that helps so much can also have such severe side effects. Nature's a trip.
