I've been prescribed R-Gene 10 10% Injection to test how well my pituitary gland makes growth hormone. The possible side effects list is pretty scary. I'm curious if anyone has had experience with this injection. How was your experience? Did you face any side effects? What precautions did your doctor take? I've been reading that it can cause tissue damage if it leaks from the vein, so any tips on that would be super helpful! And how effective was the test in diagnosing your condition?

I work in a lab and R-Gene 10 is often used in tests. The key is communication. Make sure to tell your doctor about any changes you notice, no matter how small. They need that info to adjust your treatment. Trust me, better safe than sorry.

I think this is the worst test I've ever had. The side effects list is terrifying and I kept having panic attacks waiting for something to go wrong. In my case the results were worth it but I've never been more nervous in a medical setting in my life. Hang in there! You got this

OMG, the thought of an allergic reaction scares me! But from what I've heard, it's really rare. Just keep calm and follow the doctor's instructions. You'll be fine!

Did your doctor mention anything about the specific conditions they are testing for? I've heard it can help diagnose a range of issues, but it would be good to know exactly what they are looking for.

I had this test a few years ago. The injection was quick and didn't hurt much. The worst part was waiting for the results. Make sure to stay hydrated and rest afterward. It helped me a lot!

I had this test done last year. The injection itself wasn’t too bad, but the anticipation of the side effects was stressful. I didn’t experience any major issues, but I did have some mild redness at the injection site. Just make sure to keep an eye on that area and let your nurse know if anything seems off.

Did you know that the FDA has a hotline for reporting side effects? 1-800-332-1088. Keep that number handy just in case.

I had no idea this test existed! Sounds scary but informative. Hoping it works out for you!

Make sure to drink plenty of water before and after the test. It helps with the flushing of the medication through your system. Also, bring someone with you if you can. The potential side effects can be overwhelming, so having someone there for support can be really helpful.
