I was prescribed Silvadene 1% Cream to treat a severe burn and I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. The doctor explained that it's effective in preventing infections, but they didn't give me info on the side effects. I've read about things like allergic reactions and liver problems, but are these typical? How effective was the cream in your experience and what side effects did you notice? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm an EMT and we use Silvadene often. It's very effective, but we watch out for those rare but severe side effects. Always good to keep an eye on patients.
