I was recently prescribed Nisoldipine ER 17mg Tablets for my high blood pressure. I've been doing research, but I am really worried about the potential side effects. Has anyone had severe side effects from this medication? I am particularly concerned about the serious allergic reactions like hives and throat swelling, or the life-threatening issues like severe dizziness or chest pain. I want to be prepared and know what to expect. I am also curious to know if anyone has experienced the throat irritation that is listed as a possible side effect. I hope that someone can help reassure me or give me some insights based on their experiences. Maybe there are some tips to mitigate these issues?

I switched to Nisoldipine ER from another blood pressure medication because I was having bad side effects. I’ve been on it for a year now and haven't had any issues. I’ve also heard that the throat irritation can be managed by staying hydrated, so keep your water intake up.

I honestly thought this medication was going to be horrible, but I haven’t had any major issues. Just be sure to take it as prescribed and monitor your blood pressure regularly.

My friend thought they were going to die — in the end, it was because they mixed it with another med they were taking. Always check with your doc about interactions.

My mom takes it and she’s been fine, but she did have some dizziness at first. She just made sure to take it at night so she could sleep through it. It went away after a couple of weeks.

I’ve been on Nisoldipine ER for a few months and, honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my blood pressure. I did get a bit of a headache at first, but it was nothing compared to what I was experiencing before. Just take it easy and see how your body reacts.

I've been on Nisoldipine ER for about six months now, and I haven't experienced any severe side effects. I did have some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. My doctor said that's common when you start taking it. Just make sure to monitor your blood pressure regularly.

I read somewhere that taking it with food can help with some of the side effects. Might be worth a shot if you start feeling off. But yeah, keep an eye out for anything serious.
