I've been prescribed Brinzolamide 1% Ophthalmic Suspension to manage my ocular hypertension and I am curious about other peoples experiences. My eye doctor warned me about potential side effects, but I'm hoping to get some real-world insights. Has anyone else had severe reactions, or are the side effects more mild, like blurred vision or a bad taste in your mouth? I want to be prepared and know what to watch out for. If you've had any issues, what did you do to manage them?

I’ve been on Brinzolamide for a year now, and the only side effect I’ve noticed is a slight change in vision. It’s not terrible but I know it’s important to be careful. I’ve been able to manage it fine so far.

My mom was on Brinzolamide for a while, and she had some liver problems. It was a rough time, but her doctor caught it early and managed to control the symptoms.

What’s the worst, a bad taste in the mouth or a severe allergic reaction? I had trouble breathing, severe pain, had to go to the hospital and they immediately switched me to a different medication.

The worst was the pain. I could feel my eyes drying out. I used artificial tears and it went away.

I had a severe reaction to Brinzolamide. I got a terrible rash all over my body and had to stop using it immediately. It was scary, but thankfully, my doctor switched me to a different medication that works just as well.

I’ve had a bad taste in my mouth but nothing too extreme. I think it’s a small price to pay. I just chew some gum afterwards.. Keep in mind that everyone’s experience can be different, so stay vigilant.

I'm surprised more people don't talk about those side effects. I had a mild reaction. I got red or irritated eyes and it was scary for a while. I'm happy to know everyone is different.

I started using Brinzolamide a few months ago and the blurred vision was tough at first. I had to be extra careful driving and couldn't read without my glasses. Luckily, it got better after a few weeks. I also found it helped a lot with my ocular pressure. Definitely talk to your doctor if things get worse.

Lessened eye pain, no serious side effects so far. I just hope nothing crazy happens when I travel.

I switched back to timolol. It works but my eyes became yellow and then swollen. It was scary.
