I was recently prescribed Celontin 300mg Capsules for managing my absence seizures. The doctor described it as a medication that helps stabilize electrical activity in the brain to prevent these brief, staring spells. While I'm hopeful, I'm also a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. I did some research and found that the side effects can range from mild issues like drowsiness and dizziness to very serious conditions like liver problems and severe skin reactions. I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with this medication. How effective was it for you? What side effects did you encounter? Any tips for managing them? I want to make sure I can manage my condition without compromising my overall health. Thanks in advance for sharing your insights!

I had some issues with weight loss and sleep disturbances, but my doctor adjusted the dosage and it got better. Just communicate openly with your healthcare provider.

I've heard some people have issues with suicidal thoughts. I experienced that too but got help in time. Stay alert. If you feel something’s off, reach out to a mental health professional.

I've tried just about everything. Celontin is my last resort. I might give it a try. I hope it works. I'm a bit scared but desperate.

I've been on Celontin for a few months and it's been a game-changer for my absence seizures. The dizziness was a bit tough at first but it subsided after a while. Just make sure to take it with food to avoid stomach issues.

I found that the hiccups were the worst side effect for me. I felt like I couldn't stop! But the dizziness and stomach issues were manageable. Not ideal, but worth it if the seizures are controlled.
