I've been dealing with a nasty cold and my doctor prescribed Dologesic 1mg-500mg Tablets. It's supposed to help with sneezing, runny nose, and fever, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. I know it contains both an antihistamine (dexbrompheniramine) and a pain reliever/fever reducer (acetaminophen), which should be fine, but the list of potential side effects is making me nervous. Has anyone else tried this? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips for managing side effects or what to expect overall. I'm not sure I'm cut out for a severe allergy reaction if it were to happen.

I had a mild rash after taking it, but it went away after I stopped taking the meds. Definitely keep an eye out for any allergic reactions.

I never knew this combo was available. I usually just take two separate medications for my allergies and fever. But, I guess this could be convenient. Are the dosing guidelines simple to follow?

I've had no issues with Dologesic. Works well for my cold symptoms. Just remember to take it as directed and stay hydrated. Also, I take it in the evening because of the drowsiness. It helps me sleep through the night.

I personally don't recommend taking this if you have liver problems. I was fine and didn’t really think about it, but then I got really bad pain in my stomach. I had to call my doctor and get checked out. Turns out my liver isn’t as young as it used to be. So, just be careful folks!

This thing really helped me sleep through my fever. I was in bed for three days straight and it calmed me down enough to rest and my head cleared up quickly.

I've used Dologesic a few times and found it really helpful for cold symptoms. Just make sure to take it with food to avoid any stomach upset.

I was prescribed this once and had no issues taking it. It was a lifesaver during my last cold spell. I just hope I don’t get a cold with a headache anytime soon. The acetaminophen helps with headache relief, but that’s the only specific thing I notice. Plus, it's good to know that it won't interact with other medications I take regularly.
