I've been prescribed Dexpak 13 Day Pak for severe allergies and I'm curious to hear from others who have taken it. It's a pre-packaged set of dexamethasone pills designed to gradually reduce the dose over 13 days. I've read about the serious side effects, like allergic reactions and infections, but I'm hoping to get some real-life experiences. Did you notice any of the other possible side effects, like nausea, difficulty sleeping, or changes in mood? How did you find the tapering process? Any tips for getting through the 13 days?

I took it for my knee inflammation and it worked great. But man, the hiccups were insane. Like, non-stop for hours. Worth it for the relief, but be prepared for that weird side effect.

I had no idea dexamethasone could cause so many side effects! I'm glad I read this before deciding to take it. I think I'll wait and see if my allergies improve with antihistamines first.

I had a friend who ended up in the ER after taking these pills. They got super high blood pressure and were in a lot of pain. No kiddin’ about the risks.

I used it for a bad case of poison ivy. It helped a lot with the itching and swelling, but I had some pretty bad insomnia. Definitely worth it for the relief, though. Just be prepared for some sleepless nights.

I had a really bad reaction to a previous steroid. Should I be worried about taking Dexpak? Anyone had similar experiences?

I took Dexpak for a severe sinus infection and it worked wonders! I didn't experience any major side effects, just a bit of restlessness and trouble sleeping. I would recommend it if you're really suffering from allergies and other treatments aren't helping. Take it as prescribed and you should be alright.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who ended up with severe mood swings and high blood pressure. It's a powerful steroid, so definitely talk to your doctor about any worries.

I wish my doctor had warned me about the increased appetite. I gained a few pounds during those 13 days! But overall, it was effective for my asthma flare-up.

I'm on day 5 and I'm already seeing improvements. Just hoping these side effects like headaches go away soon. Fingers crossed!
