Has anyone taken Guaifen/codeine 100mg-10mg/5ml Sol? How was your experience?
I've been prescribed Guaifen/codeine 100mg-10mg/5ml Sol for a persistent cough and chest congestion. I've heard mixed things about it, so I'm looking for some firsthand experiences. How effective was it for you? Did you experience any of the side effects listed, like constipation or dizziness? I'm particularly concerned about the more serious side effects, so any insights on those would be appreciated. Also, how did it compare to other cough medicines you've tried?

I used this a few years ago and it made me so drowsy I could barely function. I had to stop taking it because of work. A friend tried it and said it didn't work for them at all and had awful chest pain. Definitely monitor the symptoms.
Had to use this when I had bronchitis. it did the job, but I had to be really careful with the dosage. I also experienced some dizziness. It works but keep an eye on those side effects.
I used it for a persistent cough after the flu. It worked really well, but I had to be careful with the dosage. Too much and I felt a bit loopy. It’s a powerful combo for sure.
I was on this after a bad bout of pneumonia. It helped with the cough, but I was definitely moreconstipated than I’ve ever been. Stay hydrated and maybe add some extra fiber to your diet. Be careful with this one.
I hated this stuff. It didn't do anything for my cough and made me feel crappy. It also gave me a weird rash. I'll stick to over-the-counter stuff from now on.
I took it for a bad cold and it helped a lot with the cough. But yeah, the constipation was rough. Drink lots of water and maybe some prune juice. But honestly, it was worth it to finally get some sleep at night.

Guaifen/codeine 100mg-10mg/5ml Sol knocked out my cough, but I felt super weak and dizzy. If you take it, make sure to rest and not drive or anything until you see how it affects you. There are lots of better options that are less intense.
