Can anyone tell me if this is safe to take during pregnancy? I've had some pretty bad heartburn lately and I'm not sure what to do.
I've dealt with chronic heartburn for years. My doctor recommended a combination of Mag-Al and lifestyle changes. I cut out spicy foods, caffeine and I've been eating smaller, more frequent meals. It's made a huge difference
This medication doesn't work for me at all. It tastes awful too. Proton pump inhibitors were a game changer for me, but I'm aware everyone is different. I'd recommend talking with your physician to determine what's best for you.
This is a great thread for a subject that rarely gets discussed. I often suffer from heartburn and I can't imagine how to get relief.
I had a really bad experience with Mag-Al Plus Xs Suspension. I took it as directed and ended up with severe diarrhea. I had to stay home from work for a couple of days because I was so sick. I'll stick to Tums from now on.
I had a bad reaction to it. I broke out in hives and my throat felt tight. Scary stuff. I had to go to the ER and they gave me some medication to counteract the side effects. I've avoided it ever since.
I wish I had known about this sooner! I've been suffering with heartburn for months and haven't found anything that works. I'll definitely give Mag-Al a try and see if it helps.
