Has anyone taken Proferrin Forte Tablets for anemia? What was your experience like?
I was recently diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia and my doctor prescribed me Proferrin Forte Tablets. I'm a bit nervous because I've heard mixed reviews about iron supplements causing stomach issues. However, I've also read that the heme iron in Proferrin is better absorbed and gentler on the stomach. Has anyone else tried this supplement? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially if you've dealt with similar side effects.

I've been taking it for about a month and so far, so good. I take it with a big meal and that seems to help with any stomach issues.
I tried it and had terrible constipation. Maybe it's just me, but I switched to a different supplement.
I think it's worth a shot. The heme iron is supposed to be much easier on the stomach compared to other forms of iron. Just make sure to stay hydrated and take it with food.
I switched to a liquid iron supplement because the pills were just too hard on my stomach. Maybe that's an option if you run into issues?
My doctor recommended this to me as well. I'm on day 3 and no major issues yet. Fingers crossed!
