I've recently been prescribed Venlafaxine ER 75mg Capsules for my anxiety. I've heard mixed reviews about this medication, and I'm a bit nervous to start it. I know it's used to treat depression and anxiety disorders, but I want to hear from people who have actually taken it. How long did it take to start working? What side effects did you experience? Did you notice any improvement in your symptoms? Any advice or personal stories would be greatly appreciated!

I had a terrible experience with this med. It made me gain weight, and I felt jittery all the time. I think it might not be the right fit for everyone. Also it gave me very vivid or unusual dreams during sleep.

Venlafaxine worked well for me for depression, but I had to deal with some sexual side effects. It's not something I expected, and it took a toll on my relationship. I suggest talking to your doctor about this potential issue.

Be careful with this one, folks. I had a severe allergic reaction to it. Ended up in the ER with hives and swelling. Not worth the risk for me.

I took Venlafaxine for a while and it really helped with my anxiety. It took about 4 weeks to start feeling the benefits, but the side effects were manageable. I just had some drowsiness and dry mouth at times.

Be patient if you start this. It can take a while to feel the benefits, but if it works, it's worth it. Good luck!

I switched from another antidepressant to Venlafaxine and it was a game-changer. No more daily panic attacks, and the side effects were mild for me. Just some insomnia at first, but that went away.

I've been on Venlafaxine for about 6 months now. It's helped a lot with my panic attacks, but I do have to be mindful of my sodium levels. My doctor checks them regularly. It's not perfect, but it's made a big difference for me.

Had to stop taking it because it made me feel like a zombie. Couldn't function at work or even take care of my family. Definitely not for me.

I've heard it can cause serotonin syndrome if not monitored properly. Make sure your doctor keeps an eye on that if you decide to start.

Does anyone know if you can drink alcohol while taking this? I'm worried about interactions.
