I've been recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and my doctor recommended Adthyza 1gr (60mg) Tablets. I'm a bit nervous about starting a new medication, especially one that deals with hormones. Has anyone here had experience with this medication? I'm curious to know about any common side effects you've experienced and how you managed them. Also, I'm wondering if the T4 and T3 hormones in this medication actually make a noticeable difference compared to medications that only contain T4. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Same here! Adthyza helped me a lot but I had to be patient. Try to give it 2-3 months before you make any decisions about the dosage. Just as a heads up, some people experience changes in appetite. My advice? Keep a food diary to track your eating habits.

Has anyone experienced muscle weakness or cramps? I heard it's common but I'm worried it could affect my daily activities.

I’ve been on it for a few weeks and I'm already feeling tired all the time. Is this normal? I feel like I can’t even function.

I've been on Adthyza for about 6 months now. The first month was rough with some hair loss and a bit of fatigue, but it got better after that. I think it's best to stick with it and give your body time to adjust. Plus, my doctor said the T3 hormone helps with energy levels, so that's a plus!

I switched to Adthyza from another thyroid medication and it made a huge difference for me. I feel more energetic and my metabolism seems to be working better. I've had really bad mood swings though, which is a side effect I didn't expect. I'm hoping it will calm down as I continue taking it.

If symptoms are getting to me then I would contact my doctor and explain the situation. It’s important to take these things seriously.

I've had some shakiness and trouble sleeping, but it's manageable. Just try to get into a good nighttime routine. I’ve also noticed that taking the medication with food seems to help with any stomach issues.

I think it's important to weigh the facts. People always complain about hair loss, but it’s usually temporary. If you’re worried, talk to your doctor about it.

I ended up switching back to a T4-only med because the T3 in Adthyza made me feel too jittery. I think it's important to consider your body's sensitivity to these things.

Lots of these side effects seem normal. If you are feeling this way, maybe try taking it in the morning with food to help with those side effects. Give it a couple of days and see if it helps.
