I've been dealing with some pretty intense nerve pain and my doctor recommended Asperflex Lidocaine 4% Cream. It's supposed to numb the skin and help with pain, itching, or discomfort, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. The leaflet mentions some serious ones like allergic reactions, acidosis, and even seizures. I'm really hoping it works, but I want to hear from others who have tried it. Have any of you used it? What was your experience like? Were the side effects mentioned in the leaflet a real issue or did you have other unexpected effects?

I didn't experience any serious side effects, but the area where I applied it got really red and irritated. Had to stop using it.

I had a really bad allergic reaction, but I was using it in a creamy area of my body and I think that was the problem. I am going to ask my doctor to try a numbing spray next.

I am using it rectally for rectal pain and it works wonders.

Side effects sound terrifying. I’m going to stick to over-the-counter pain relievers for now.

I’ll have to ask my doctor about this. I didn’t even think to ask for lidocaine, but this thread makes me wonder..

I had a really bad allergic reaction to it. Went to the ER for hives and trouble breathing. Not worth it for me.

I swear by this stuff. I have chronic pain, so I use it all the time.

Just be careful with it. I accidentally used too much and ended up with severe numbness and tingling. Was scary AF.

I've been using it for a while now and it's been a game-changer for my nerve pain. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully.
