Has anyone tried Crysvita for X-linked hypophosphatemia? How has it been for you?
I've recently been prescribed Crysvita 20mg/ml Inj, 1ml for X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH). I've read up on it, and it seems like a game-changer, but I'm still nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else tried it? How has your experience been? Any tips for managing side effects like injection site reactions or muscle pain? I'm also curious about the long-term effects since this is a lifelong treatment. Thanks in advance for any insights!

My daughter has XLH and has been on Crysvita for 6 months now. We've had some ups and downs. Initially, she had some dizziness and headaches, but it subsided. The biggest issue has been injection site reactions; using a cold compress and rotating sites has helped a lot. It's early days yet, but overall, we're hopeful. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
I've heard good things about Crysvita, but I still worry about the potential side effects, like restless legs. Has anyone experienced that?
Honestly, I wish more people knew about this medication. It's a lifesaver for those with XLH. The side effects are manageable once you get the hang of it. My tip is to keep a diary of any symptoms you experience and discuss them with your doctor. They may need to adjust your dose or give you something to help with side effects.
I started Crysvita a few months back and it's been a mixed bag. The biggest relief is the reduction in bone pain, but I've had some muscle spasms which can be quite painful. My doctor recommended some stretching exercises and magnesium supplements which have helped a bit. On the plus side, my energy levels have increased a lot!
Side effects are tough, but I've found that staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet helps me a lot. Also, talk to your doctor about using a topical anesthetic if injection sites are bothering you. Good luck!
Crysvita made me feel like a whole new person. My back pain was debilitating before, and now it's bearable. The only thing that bugs me is the occasional dizziness. I just make sure to have plenty of water and take things slow. Good luck! It's a journey, but it’s worth it.
Glad to hear you're getting treatment! I've been on Crysvita for about a year now. It's made a big difference in my bone pain and fatigue. I did have some injection site reactions at first, but they've calmed down. I just make sure to rotate sites and use a numbing cream beforehand. Best of luck!
I've been on Crysvita for 6 months. I've experienced some restlessness in my legs, which can be uncomfortable. My doctor adjusted my dose and gave me some advice on managing it. It's not great, but the overall benefits outweigh the downsides. The biggest improvement I've noticed is in my overall mobility and energy levels. It’s worth the trade-off.
