I've been dealing with acid reflux and gas for a while now, and my doctor recommended Eq Antacid Max St Suspension. It's an antacid and anti-gas liquid that helps relieve heartburn, sour stomach, acid indigestion, and gas by neutralizing stomach acid and breaking up gas bubbles. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has used it. How effective was it for you? Did you experience any side effects? More importantly, what precautions should I take? I'm a little nervous about the urgent side effects mentioned, like allergic reactions. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Did your doctor recommend dosage? I have this feeling that I might be taking too much. The description does say that loose or soft stool is a symptom. If I take it before meal, it's more effective. If I do it after, I feel bloated. Its a bit odd. I am also not sure how long I should wait before taking an extra dose, I feel like the doctor should have been clearer.

I've used a liquid antacid before, and I always shake the bottle before use. It helps to mix the ingredients properly. Also, make sure to take it with water. I've read that it can cause constipation if you don't. But I didn't have any problems.

Also, it tastes like death. Dont use it. I rather gulp down a spoonfull of lime and will bear the pain.

Anyone know if it's safe for long-term use? I've been having trouble with digestive issues for a while and don't want to cause any more problems.

I've used it and it worked wonders for me. No side effects either, just a few days of slightly soft stool.

I usually took it an hour or so before going to bed and it worked well for me. Helped with my acid reflux and gas. Didn't notice any particular side effect.

I switched to a liquid antacid last year. It's easier to take and dissolve, but make sure to give it plenty of time to work. The package says to take it 20-30 minutes before eating, but I found that an hour works better. You know, try shaking the bottle before use and stick to the dosage carefully. Too much can cause the opposite effect you wanna avoid.
