I've been struggling with IBS-D for years and my doctor recently prescribed Lotronex 0.5mg Tablets. I've read about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones, and I'm quite nervous. Has anyone here tried Lotronex and had any serious side effects or allergic reactions? I'm also curious to know how effective it was for those who have used it. I want to be prepared and make an informed decision before starting this medication.

This. Always read the warning signs before you swallow it. I had really bad reactions.

Lotronex worked for me, but I had to be careful. I had to stop taking it for a while because I had some side effects like hives. My doctor said it might be an allergic reaction. I got a bit nervous as I have seen the allergic reactions mentioned in the warning. It can be a bit stressful.

I was on Lotronex for a few months and it was a game-changer for me. My IBS-D symptoms improved drastically, but I did experience some upset stomach at first. Just give it a few days and it should go away. I would recommend it.

I had a bad reaction to Lotronex. I started getting shortness of breath and my throat felt tight. I ended up in the ER. It was scary, but thankfully, I'm okay now. If you experience any of those symptoms, go to the hospital immediately.
