I was recently prescribed Mi-Yesintek 45mg/0.5ml Pfinj. 0.5ml (Ustekinumab) for my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The doctor said it helps reduce inflammation by blocking certain proteins (IL-12 and IL-23) that cause inflammation in my conditions. I've heard it works well for some people, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the severe ones like allergic reactions, infections, and serious brain conditions. The medication is given as an injection under the skin after an initial IV dose, and I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this process and can share their experience. What were the side effects like? How did you manage them? Did the medication work well for you? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had to stop taking it because of severe headaches and vision changes. Turns out I had PRES, which was scary. I didn't know this could happen. So, yeah, be careful and keep an eye on any weird symptoms.

I've been on it for a while and I've had no issues. I do the injections myself and they're fine, just a bit painful. As for the side effects, I had a bit of nausea for a day after the first shot, but nothing persistently.

I've been on Ustekinumab for about a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my psoriasis. I had some initial injection site reactions, but they went away after a few weeks. No serious side effects so far!

My friend had some issues with dermatological side effects. Not sure if it's a common thing. Just a heads up to be vigilant about skin changes.

I had a pretty bad reaction to the initial IV dose. It was like the worst flu I've ever had. My doctor said it was just a bad reaction to the initial dose, and the shots were fine afterwards.

I just started this and I'm a bit worried. My doc said I need the IV dose first, then shots. Can anyone confirm how that went? Any tips for the IV part?

The injection itself is easy, like a big insulin needle. But yeah, keep an eye out for infections. I had a bit of a sore throat a few months in, and it turned out to be a mild UTI. Nothing serious, but worth keeping an eye on.
