I've been struggling with allergy symptoms lately, and my doctor prescribed Prometh/PE 6.25-5mg/5ml Oral Soln. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How effective has it been for you? Have you experienced any side effects? Specifically, I'm a bit worried about the drowsiness and the potential for more severe side effects. Has anyone had an unusual reaction or anything serious happen? Please share your thoughts and experiences – good or bad!

I've only used it a couple of times, and it was fine for me. But I'm definitely going to be more cautious now that I've read about all these potential side effects. Thanks for posting this!

I think the phenylephrine helps clear my nose, but the promethazine makes me way too sleepy. I tried taking it during the day and it was a disaster. I've switched to a different antihistamine that doesn't make me so drowsy.

If you're worried about the drowsiness, maybe try taking a smaller dose or splitting it. Everyone's body reacts differently to meds, so it might be worth a shot.

I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. Went to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. Never touching that again.

I've used this for a few years now. It works great for my allergies, but yeah, the drowsiness can be a problem. I usually take it at night so I can sleep through it.

I'm surprised more people don't talk about the potential for low white blood cell count. That's a serious side effect to be aware of. Has anyone actually experienced this?

I've had no issues with side effects, but I did notice that it helps with my cold symptoms too. But I've heard stories about people having severe reactions, so I'm glad I didn't have any problems.

I didn't realize this could cause breathing problems. Good to know!
