I've been prescribed Asperflex Lidocaine 4% Cream for some minor skin irritations and burns. The doctor said it would help numb the area and relieve discomfort, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this cream? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially if you encountered any of the rare but serious side effects like allergic reactions or methemoglobinemia. How did you handle them? Also, any tips on how to apply it correctly would be appreciated!

I applied it to a bug bite and it worked well, but I got a bit of swelling. Nothing too bad, but it was unexpected.

The cream really helped with the itching from a rash, but I noticed some changes in skin color around the application site. It wasn't too bad, but it was noticeable. Should I be worried?

I applied it to a sunburn and felt a bit shaky afterwards. Not sure if it was the cream or just the sunburn, but it was a bit unnerving.

I used it on a small cut and got some severe numbness and tingling. It was freaky. I didn't think it was supposed to do that. Did I do something wrong?

My doctor warned me about the risk of acidosis. I had no idea that was even a thing. I wonder how common that really is.

I’ve never had any major issues, but I always check the label to make sure I’m using it correctly. It’s helped with minor burns and stings plenty of times.

I had a terrible reaction to it. Got hives and had trouble breathing. Scariest thing ever. Went to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. Never using it again!
