Has anyone used Sulfacetamide 10%/Sulfur 5% Lotion for acne or rosacea? Share your experiences!
I've been struggling with acne and rosacea for a while now, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Sulfacetamide 10%/Sulfur 5% Lotion. I've started using it, but I'm curious to hear about other people's experiences. Does it work well for you? What side effects have you noticed? Are there any tips for applying it effectively? I'm also really freaked about the possible severe side effects. I've been using it consistenly for a week or so and nothing seems to be happening, but I am scared of those severe side effects mentioned. I'm just trying to stay positive. Thanks in advance for any insights!

Just started using it yesterday, and my face is already peeling like crazy. Is that normal? It's kind of gross, but maybe it's just doing its job?
Did anyone else have trouble finding this? I had to go to three different pharmacies before I finally found it. The first two didn't even know what it was... crazy. :(
I had to stop using it because it was making my skin super sensitive to the sun. I had a rash, and the sunburn looked so awful. I quit. I am still not sure if I should try it again or not and am worried about those severe effects. I'd rather stick to benzoyl peroxide or something. :(
I've heard that sulfacetamide can cause some serious issues, like liver problems and blood issues. Be careful, folks. If you start feeling really sick or notice any weird symptoms, go to the doctor right away. The sulfacetamide in this lotion can cause Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which is no joke — it can be fatal! It's rare, but it's something to be aware of. d:
I had a slight rash and mild itching when I first started using it, but it went away after a few days. I think it's just my skin getting used to the new treatment. Just stick with it. If it doesn't go away, obviously stop using it and contact a doctor. But otherwise, this might just work!
I used this for a few weeks and it made my skin super dry. I had to stop using it because it was unbearable. I also had some itching, but nothing major. My experience was not that great, but I guess it's worth a shot. I think I am going to talk it over with my dermatologist. I am not sure if I want to continue with it.
I've been using the lotion for a few weeks and haven't noticed any severe side effects, but the smell is awful. It's like rotten eggs mixed with something else. I'm not sure what, but it's not pleasant. I am worried about the other side effects, but this is really difficult. :/
